Striking compositions created by photographing tiny curls of paper trimmed from the same photographic paper on which these images are printed. I use a macro lens in order to capture something so small, and I direct light to achieve stark shadows, which become an integral part of the composition. I thoroughly enjoy creating something out of a scrap that most people throw away. A celebration of the visual possibilities of simple curves.
